We went a little off the rails...
Hello again! Julian here, joined as always by Patrick and Rob for another episode of Nerds Without Pants. No topic this time...we decided to just wing it with some random discussion. Yes, a hodge podge of talking points brought together to form a pleasant bouquet. Some potpourri, if you will. We can all enjoy a little P O T. And if you got that obscure Laugh In joke, congratulations! I love you.
Two Rockstars have Become One.
Rockstar Games recently announced their decision to merge two of their successful divisions in video game entertainment. The Canadian government supported this decision, so Rockstar will open a new office in Oakville, Ontario that is custom-built. All members of the Vancouver facility will be given the opportunity to join forces with Rockstar Toronto.
Remember when the shoot-dodge was your best bet for success?
Max Payne 2 was a game that did two things amazingly well: it provided a dark, deep, and gritty story that was accentuated by its film noir approach, and it offered unique third person shooting that was unlike anything else thanks to the bullet time system. Max Payne 3 brings both back, but neither is executed to the degree of excellence seen in the past iteration of the series.
Available for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on May 15, and for the PC on May 29, 2012.
A look at Max Payne 3's weapons and targeting mechanics.
The saga continues this May.
Today, Rockstar Games officially announced the release date for the third game in the Max Payne series. Releasing first in America on consoles, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will be able to pick up Max Payne 3 on May 15; May 18 it will release internationally. On May 29 the game will release for PC in America, followed by a June 1 international release.
And the action figure has hair!
Some gamers may not be happy about the new direction that Max Payne seems to be taking, but we can all agree that the new special edition as announced today by Rockstar Games is pretty sweet.
Available for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC on March, 2012.
